Bones are simulated by hand pulled clay like extrusions.



Bones are simulated by hand pulled clay like extrusions, each unique, each a prayer for a victim of abuse.  This image is from 'THE BRIDGE', an installation in the Gulf at Galveston, Texas.


THE BRIDGE consists of approximately 100 bone simulations resting on a wire mesh support in the waters of the Gulf in Galveston Bay.

BONE LABYRINTH AT ROTHKO CHAPEL, HOUSTON, TEXAS.

Approx. 500 bone simulations placed on a carpet on the plaza for meditative walking, with a MENDING CIRLCE in the center for dedication.

    

    






The rain added a quiet somber to the day of meditative walking of the bone labyrinth.    I love the barefeet .

Dedicated bones from the MENDING CIRCLE were formed into structures which reference specific heinous acts which took human lives.  The number of victims being represented by each bone.  SAY MY NAME.

GENOCIDE: The Seventh Stage of Extermination.   The ink on galvanized steel in verso shows figures marching to the gas chambers in Germany and Poland.
